Photography has been a lifelong source of friendships and adventure for me and I have been honing my craft since I was a kid. I was studying photojournalism at UT Knoxville when I booked my first weddings back in 1998. Years later I still get excited about every shoot. Every one is an opportunity to explore, create, and make new friends. I’m proud to be a full-time, professional photographer in Nashville. In 2010-2011 I had the privilege of photographing 85 amazing weddings in 8 states including Colorado and Hawaii.
My recent photography clients have included the Nashville Symphony, Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Junior League, AEG Live Events, Kurtell Properties, Hair-A-Go-Go, Columbia Pediatric Clinic as well as scores of happy brides, models, and music artists in need of album art. My images have appeared in nationally distributed publications and I was voted into Nashville’s top 3 photographers on CitySearch. I also have the honor of being listed as a preferred vendor for Belle Meade Plantation, Houston Station, and Riverwood Mansion.
My photography philosophy depends on the style and situation. I think it best to capture natural expressions and document one of a kind moments, but there is also something to be said for making a production out of a shoot with dramatic lighting, well planned themes and interesting locations. I want to offer my clients variety and prove that I can get any look, image, or style that I attempt.
When I’m not working I enjoy chasing and tickling my 4 year old daughter Sophia, traveling with my wife Samantha, songwriting, recording music, playing open mic nights, camping, skiing, swimming and eating popcorn.
