Jennifer and Eric | Wedding at the Church of the Assumption with a Hilton Garden Inn Reception

I’ve really enjoyed getting to be friends with Jennifer and Eric this past year. It turns out that we all went to Father Ryan for high school. Eric had my father’s American history class when he was a college baseball player. Their May 19th wedding was the third wedding I’ve photographed in the past 12 months with them in attendance. In fact Eric was a recent groomsmen and Jennifer was a recent bridesmaid in other weddings I’ve photographed. If that isn’t a good foundation for a life-long friendship I don’t know what is!
Above the room that the girls were getting ready I did a little exploring and found that a whole floor of the building was being renovated so I took the girls upstairs for some unusual photos!

This wedding party took the pre-party on the road as we rode from location to location for photos, the whole group seemed to really enjoy the time they spent together. We even made a pit-stop at Bootleggers Inn, a bar on Broadway where we were serenaded by a couple singer songwriters and Dixieland Delight turned into a sing-along.

I love this snap shot because I was the wedding photographer for everyone in this picture! I photographed Jennifer’s maid of honor, Mandy’s wedding to Wes, last June. Eric’s best man and younger brother, Brett was married to Jaime just last November. So, I’m getting to feel like old friends with this crew! It also illustrates how wedding photographers get busier the more weddings they shoot because there is nearly always a bridesmaid or groomsmen who is engaged in these big weddings with big wedding parties and when people are looking for wedding photographers, they often ask their friends. We thrive on referrals in this business!
