Mark and Marissa – Hopkinsville Wedding

Marissa and Mark were married on Thanksgiving Weekend at the First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville, KY.  The Reception took place at the James E Bruce Convention Center, also in Hopkinsville.  Their wedding was a formal black and white wedding and the church was decked out for advent and the set-up was complete with a Christmas tree at the front of the church to start off the season.  It was a cold and overcast day so I knew that we were in a bit of a race to fit in any outdoor photos before dark.  Also, we photographed all of the family formals and group shots before the ceremony so everyone could head straight to the reception after the ceremony.  I was amazed by the Bruce Convention Center.  Its a wonderful venue for a wedding reception.  This was the first wedding that I photographed there, but I had another wedding there a month later at the end of December so I’ll have more examples from this venue posted soon.

As you can see from the photos, it was a fun bunch and they really took advantage of the music and the dance floor!  I love dance floor candids and we got a lot of really great shots of laughter at this wedding reception!

In addition to the photographs from the wedding day, I included a hand-full of shots from the previous week’s bridal portrait session at Belmont Mansion.  Enjoy!
